Although you probably won’t detect an accent, Angela Gunn was born in Waco, Texas and her angst-ridden teenage years were spent in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Following an unavoidable urge to ‘go north’, Angela decided to attend Wellesley College without having ever been to Massachusetts! She has never looked back. Continuing her habit of sometimes deciding things on a whim, Angela decided to go to law school. Luckily it was the right decision. A life-altering experience working on a high profile murder and racketeering trial right out of law school resulted in her current career as a criminal defense attorney.

Ten years ago, following a creative whim, Angela took her first acting class and caught “the bug.” Although she enjoyed acting enough to quit being a lawyer, Angela’s love of the finer things in life resulted in the current balance of both of her interests. Angela now does criminal appeals which allows her the freedom and flexibility to attend auditions and perform in films and plays.

Angela has recently completed several short films and performed in a recent Life Lines production by the ARRT (Actors Refuge Repertory Theater), a non-profit group dedicated to providing performing opportunities for a diverse community who are not otherwise easily cast in film or theater. Angela is now vice president of the Board of Directors of ARRT. More information can be found at www.arrters.org.

She enjoys performing whenever possible, taking acting classes, working on her criminal cases and being a good mom to her beautiful daughter, Charlotte Grace and her beloved cockapoo, Rosie. Please check back for future updates!
